Important Events / Activities of the Association in last few years

1) National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2017 with a one day workshop on Science and Technology in Kochi for selected students of IX to XII classes, which was attended by 40 students from various schools.
2) Music programmes based on Hindolam and Malkauns Ragas on 8th April 2017. Our own singers like T.Z. Mani, Anita, Geetha, Sebi & Salim Kumar and singers from outside such as Smt. Lata, Sudhakar also enthralled the audience with live orchestra of Sri Sailesh in Keyboard Rishant in Tabla and Sunil in Mridangam.
3) National Technology day was celebrated by organizing 2 day workshop on Technologies at Work in Kochi (TAWK) on 12th and 13th May 2017, with eminent scientists and teachers taking classes on various technological institutes in Kochi and scientific topics.
4) Merit Evening was organized on 9th July 2017. Besides children and wards of members who excelled in Academics, some members who won national awards were also felicitated. The Govt. H.S. Panampilly Nagar Head mistress was also honoured for securing 100 % result in SSLC 2017.
5) The first Dr. K.J. Mathew Endowment award for the 1st Rank holder of B.Sc (Zoology) in M.G. University and Endowment lecture was organized in November 2017. Dr. E.G. Silas presented the Award and gave an outstanding talk.
6) Sports Day for members and family was organized on 10th February 2018 in the Govt. H.S.S, Panampilly Nagar premises.
7) Okhi Relief Activities were organized with the fund raised being utilized for providing ferro cement septic tanks to 5 Okhi Victims of Chellanam- Rs.37,500 expended for this.
Besides family get together are arranged with some music, dance etc. to celebrate various festivals like Onam, Christmas, Vishu, Divali etc.
One of the main objective of the Association is extending a helping hand to the needy and weaker sections in the Society.  Every month, we are doling out medical assistance to many deserving patients suffering from Cancer, kidney problems and other ailments.
We are also giving scholarships (of Rs.5000/each) to students of Govt. H.S.S, Panampilly Nagar from 8th to 12th Stds, mostly sponsored by our own members and the number of scholarships has crossed 40 at present. These efforts have borne point and this backward Govt. School produced 100 % results in S.S.L.C, 2017, 2018 and 2019
Flood relief work: The Association extended its help to the flood victims in a big way by  handing over household goods like Cots, Beds, fans, kitchen utensils as well as financial support to some deserving persons for carrying out repair and maintenance of their houses totaling more than Rs.60,000/-. The beneficiaries were Shri. T.P. John and Smt. Mary Thomas from Annanad, near Kadukutty, Shri. V. Ashokan of HMT Colony, Kalamassery, Nedumbassery Colony residents, Smt. Mini M.K of Thekke nada, Vaikom.
