Sunitha Rajendran lives in Panavally village, Cherthala with her daughter and son.
When her husband suffered a debilitating kidney ailment, she had shown exceptional courage in taking up her husband's job of clam collection from Vembanad lake - a job no woman ever tried to venture into to support the family.
Rajendran succumbed to his disease last year in spite of her best efforts to save his life including donation of one of her kidneys. Ever since, she has been mustering determination to face adversities in life and working hard to educate her two children Anugraha and Akarsh.
Anugraha is a brilliant girl who scored III rank in BSc Zoology from M G University and preparing for civil services examination. She cleared the prelim and working hard to appear for the main exam in September next. Akarsh is in grade X and good in sports. He participated in many state- and national events. Preparing for first international event that is coming up in Nepal soon.Sunitha is not alone. CGOA is with her as a partner in her struggle to meet Rajendran's dreams. We help her in the kids' education and also support her to buy a new canoe (for clam collection) in place of the one she lost during the recent storm in Vembanad Lake. Pictures show CGOA MC members spending some time with the Sunitha family.
